Join us for a leisurely 1.5 mile walk for all ages (leashed pets welcome) and start the year hiking in the coastal woods, a great way to ring in 2023! We will meet at the Backshore Trail parking area and walk easy trails toward Goose Falls village with the option of hiking the shoreline trail that provides wonderful views of Islesboro and beyond (conditions permitting). We will pause at Goose Falls bridge and the historic renovated John & Christina Bakeman Cemetery, before returning via Back Road to the trailhead. Meet & Greet at 1:00pm: Warm beverages, water, and snacks will be on hand at the start and finish of our walk. The guided hike will begin at 1:30. Please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the weather. Free program and entry.
